This anamorphic lens system uses two cylindrical and one spherical lenses to create a 100 micron long by 15 micron wide elliptical beam distribution. The spherical lens is used to assist both axes to focus tighter. It is used with a femtosecond IR laser system in an Air Force research laboratory for micromaching various dielectric bulk materials.
