This relay lens is used in an Air Force scene projector with a CI-Systems 8" collimator to provide a scene from any film negative that is simply inserted. A backlight is used to illuminate the film which is then relayed, demagnified, and then collimated. LOD first modeled the CI-Systems collimator then designed a relay lens to project the scene. The Air Force (WPAFB) uses this to provide realy scenes for various test beds.
